A couple of decades ago, when robots were mentioned, the first thing that came to mind was the plot line of some fantasy movie about how they take over the world and take people captive. But, probably, not everyone thought so. Otherwise, robotics would not have appeared in production, services and everyday life. So far, it has not captured anyone, but there are many advantages in using robotic equipment in Ukraine.
The history of robotics dates back to ancient Greece, where automatic devices were used for entertainment and simple tasks. Archimedes has the idea of creating a prototype of a combat robot called "Claw". Installed on the fortress wall, it lifted Roman ships into the air and turned them upside down.
In 1950, Leonardo Da Vinci's drawings were discovered, dated 1495, in which he described in detail an iron knight who could move his arms and neck, sit down, stand up and raise his helm. It is not known whether he assembled his robot then, but it became the prototype of the Automaton, which was assembled by NASA roboticist Mark Rosenheim in 2002 based on Leonardo's drawings. The automaton really worked as described by Da Vinci.
Robotics in Ukraine now
Today, work is an inseparable part of life. They surround us everywhere and work for the benefit of humanity. Replacing people in dangerous and difficult workplaces and not only that.
You can meet them anywhere. The largest amount of robotic equipment is used in industrial sectors. They can also be found in medicine, agriculture, and the transport industry. In logistics, for example, these are warehouse operations that can move cargo or entire sorting systems. So, for example, the robot takes on the monotonous work of transporting bulky and heavy cargo from the place of production to the warehouse or from the warehouse to the place of shipment.
The development of robotics in Ukraine, of course, is not as rapid as in Japan or Germany. So far we cannot talk about any outstanding inventions. But we already have something to show the world. SBRobotics manufactures the Train Sorter (RSS) and the Robin robotic platform and stacker (AGV).
- The sorting platform is able to complete orders. Equipped with barcode scanners. The number of ports for reset is completed according to the customer's needs. Robots carry up to two kilograms of cargo.
- The stacker independently navigates in space and performs operations for moving pallets. On the same trolleys, which will then be towed away by the platform.
- The platform moves along a given route on a magnetic tape, but can be equipped with cameras. It is capable of transporting cargo weighing up to five hundred kg on the platform itself and up to a thousand kg by tug. It is equipped with a barcode scanner.
SBRobotics products can be used in warehouses, factories and shops, either individually or in tandem. The sorter lays out, the stacker loads onto the platform, which tows it to its destination.
SBRobotics is robotics in the production of services and everyday life
In addition to the production of its standard products, the company can design and manufacture carts for towing for a specific load. The technique is easily adapted to work with the systems you already have. The company offers support and training for customers.
SBRobotics is about reliability and your safety.
And our country will further develop this industry. But the time will come when they will talk about us: Ukrainian robotics.
